Registered Nurse
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in a busy OB/Gyn office. The ideal candidate provides professional nursing care to patients in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the healthcare team. This role is responsible for supporting women’s health across the spectrum of care including gynecology, obstetrics, family planning, and preventive health. The RN ensures high-quality, compassionate care and contributes to a safe, efficient clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and document medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and in-office treatments (e.g., colposcopy, IUD insertions, biopsies, prenatal visits).
- Administer medications, immunizations, and injections as ordered.
- Provide patient education regarding prenatal care, contraception, gynecologic health, post-procedure care, and preventive health practices.
- Triage patient phone calls and electronic messages; provide guidance per protocol and escalate when needed.
- Coordinate care for obstetric patients including prenatal testing, labs, ultrasounds, and follow-up appointments.
- Ensure exam rooms are prepared, cleaned, and stocked according to infection control standards.
Clinical Coordination & Documentation
- Accurately document patient interactions, care, and provider orders in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Review, track, and communicate lab and imaging results as directed.
- Support scheduling of follow-up visits, procedures, and referrals.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and medical assistants to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Mentor and support new clinical staff as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
- Follow OSHA guidelines for infection control and safety.
- Maintain current knowledge of women’s health best practices and standards of care.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
- Prior experience in women’s health, obstetrics, or gynecology strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients for extended periods.
- Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for clinical procedures and EMR documentation.
